5 August 2009 – The new Ford Fiesta has been selected as the Car of the Year 2009 by leading motoring title, Auto Express. Fiesta also won the Best Supermini award and the Ford S-MAX was judged Best MPV. Ford had a total of seven nominations with Ford Ka, Kuga and two Mondeo models commended.
